ibn Haytham was the first Muslim astronomer and astrologer, the world’s first physicist of light, inventor of the magnifying glass, first receiver to measure the speed of sound, the speed of light and the earth’s circumference in units of “force”.

Ibn Haytham was born in Basra in 965AD.Ibn Haytham is the father of the science of light physics and inpioneered the development that later led to the development of the still camera, motion picture camera and motion picture projector. He also wrote an article about light and invented the magnifying glass.
